Ephemera at Etc Fairs

Ephemera  /əˈfem(ə)rə/
1. Of a transient, brief nature
2. Items of collectable memorabilia, written
or printed, with short-term purpose

Ephemera, in all its multifaceted forms, is increasingly popular amongst collectors. The sheer diversity of the subject, period and nature of ephemera makes it impossible to summarise briefly, and there are at least two associations dedicated to the representation of it here and in the US (The Ephemera Society and The Ephemera Society of America).

Our Bloomsbury Ephemera Fair, is particularly representative of this specialist area of collecting, but it always has a strong following at the Bloomsbury Book Fair too, with many of the country’s leading specialist dealers (and collectors) regularly in attendance. From tickets and invitations to legal documents of antiquity, privately printed broadsides and unique printed survivors of a bygone era, and with prices ranging from less than a pound to thousands of pounds, there is something for every collector of ephemera at these fairs.
A particular strong area of ephemera collecting currently is postcards which are also represented at the fair and which have become very popular – contact us for more information on buying & selling these.
