About Etc Fairs

Books, Ephemera, Postcards and more in Bloomsbury, London

Etc Fairs currently organises and manages regular fairs specialising in rare, secondhand, antiquarian and collectable books, plus manuscripts, ephemera, maps, prints, postcards,  photographs and more!

The longest-running events under our umbrella are the London Book and Ephemera Fairs, which as of April 2020 take place in the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, London, throughout the year. The largest of these is the Bloomsbury Book Fair, which has as its primary focus books, but also features strong contributions from some of the country’s leading specialists in maps, prints, ephemera, manuscripts and photographs.

The Bloomsbury Ephemera, Book & Postcard Fair, held  fours times a year, at the same hotel, is one of the preeminent Fairs specialising in ephemera, again with a very  strong representation from the other collectable sectors, including books and postcards.

The Etc Team

George Jeffery

Kim Jeffery

The current George Jeffery is the latest in a long line of bookdealers, it therefore seemed a natural progression to start running a fair when the opportunity arose over 20 years ago with the Ephemera Fair, which saw a mixture of dealers specialising in books, maps, prints and ephemera. This has now grown considerably over the past few years and also incorporates postcards, posters, photographs, manuscripts and much more. With George’s own experience of exhibiting and with the help of his wife Kim, the roots of what is now Etc Fairs has grown and now incorporates both fairs listed here.

Testimonial

“Our favourite fair is the monthly Etc Ephemera, Book & Postcard Fair, run by Kim & George Jeffery whose light touch in fair administration & helpfulness is an example that a lot of fair organisers should follow! The Etc Fair is somewhat unique in that it is neither a book fair nor an ephemera fair, but transcends all boundaries, covering the whole gamut of works on paper. Nothing else quite like it as the long queue at each monthly event testifies…”
