Review – Bloomsbury Summer Book Fair

Sunday 27th May saw our annual Summer Fair take place at the Royal National Hotel in Bloomsbury, London, with a full complement of exhibitors in attendance. Numbers through the door were up on last year and the Galleon Suite was consistently busy throughout the day as was the whole vicinity, which was awash with buyers visiting the three fairs taking place that day, namely the Ephemera Society’s Annual Summer Event at the Holiday Inn, and IPM’s Postcard Fair also at the Royal National. These events ended the variety of other fairs taking place over the course of a week.

Dealers reported excellent sales, and visitors to the fair gave generous feedback regarding the quality and diversity of material available. The fair saw many dealers who chose the Bloomsbury Summer Book Fair as their only venue to exhibit this year during the Summer Fair week so much of the stock on offer was new to visitors.

The general ‘buzz’ in the room made for a very enjoyable and successful event, no doubt aided by the refreshments on offer!  The organisers would like to extend a big thank you to all exhibitors and visitors alike for their support which helped make this another memorable and worthwhile fair. Don’t forget to visit the next Bloomsbury Book Fair on July 8th.
