Bloomsbury Book Fair

Our next Bloomsbury Book Fair is on 12th May 2024, our Summer Fair.   Etc Fairs’ monthly London Book Fairs are held at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, and run throughout the year, except August. These fairs are extremely popular with dealers and visitors, the Bloomsbury Book Fair is the largest monthly book fair in the UK and attracts some of the UK’s finest specialist dealers.

The Bloomsbury Book Fair, is one of two fairs organised by Etc Fairs and is held in the London’s Holiday Inn in the Bloomsbury area.

All fairs have a range of antiquarian books, second hand books, out of print books, maps, prints, postcards,  manuscripts and ephemera on sale, the Bloomsbury Book Fair also has auctioneers  and bookbinders regularly exhibiting.

Visitors, whether they are dealers or  casual collectors, or just enthusiasts about the printed word will find something – all are welcome!

London’s favourite book fair

If you are a collector of rare, secondhand, antiquarian or just generally any books, then the Etc Fairs’ Bloomsbury Book Fair is definitely not to be missed. Regularly featuring over 40 tables, these fairs bring in a wide and varied crowd of exhibitors and punters, with something for every individual taste and budget catered for.

These fairs are also extremely popular with ephemera, map, prints and manuscript dealers & collectors, so expect to be delighted and intrigued by what’s on offer!

Bloomsbury is an area in the very heart of London, historically famous for its association with the arts; the Bloomsbury Group, the [lesser known] Bloomsbury Gang and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood all made it their base at one time or another, and the British Museum sits at its centre, formerly housing the British Library Reading Room.

Religion and academia have their champions & bastions in Bloomsbury too, with Nicholas Hawksmoor’s St George’s Church to the south, and the  The Bloomsbury Colleges (Birkbeck,  SOAS, et al) and UCL to name but a few of the venues for academic excellence that pepper this area of London.

Bloomsbury is also extremely well-placed in London for public transport, with the famous main stations of Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston all within relatively easy walking distance or by tube/bus. Russell Square tube station, on the Piccadilly Line, is just a couple of minutes away from the Holiday Inn by foot, and Tottenham Court Road tube station, at one end of the world-renowned Oxford Street shopping area. For more information please visit the Transport for London website.

Should you wish to drive, the congestion charge is now payable 7 days a week however there is free meter parking on many roads around the venue, you may have to pay the ULEZ charge, do check on the Transport for London website with your vehicle registration.
